We are honoring Dr. Krall's legacy by continuing to service patients with the same dedicated staff.
Robert F. Krall, OD (1938-2011)
Dr. of Optometry
Dr. Krall was born and grew up in Troy, New York. He has practiced optometry for 44 years in a private health care setting specializing in contact lenses, general eye care, and diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University and received his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
In 1969 he established a private practice in Poughkeepsie, NY and later added a second office in Millbrook.
In the spring of 1995 he opened a 2700 square foot professional optometric facility in Millbrook which is the present location of Millbrook Family Eyecare.
Dr. Krall:
- Licensed to practice optometry in New York State, Pennsylvania and
Massachusetts.
- Licensed to treat and manage ocular disease.
- Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in the
treatment and management of ocular disease.
- Certified by Suny College of Optometry in diagnostic drugs.
His continuing education has included fifty hours of clinical observation at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital Optometric Clinic, fifty-six hours of lectures on therapeutic drugs with the Suny College of Optometry in NYC, twenty hours a year every year since 1983 on optometric topics, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and forty hours a year since 1997.
Memberships and Offices held:
President of the Hudson Valley Optometric Society.
- Founder and past president of the Millbrook Arts Group.
- A director of the Millbrook/Town of Washington Business Association.
- President of the Millbrook and Town of Poughkeepsie Lions Club.
- Member of Lions International for 39 years.
- College Council member of the State University of NY College of Optometry, serving 10 years. He was appointed in 1998 by Governor Pataki.
- Board member of The Bardavon 1869 Opera House.
Dr. Krall and his wife Linda were married for 33 years. They enjoyed breeding and showing purebred Norwegian Forest Cats for 21 years. Dr. Krall enjoyed his bike rides. His son Michael is program director for public radio station WBHM has two children Nora and Landon and lives in Birmingham, Alabama.
Linda C. Brandon, OD
Dr. of Optometry
We welcome Dr. Brandon as the newest addition to our practice!
Dr. Brandon received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Stony Brook University and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from State University of NY College of Optometry.
She has been in practice in the Hudson Valley Region for 12 years with her husband Matt, who is also a Dr. of Optometry.
Dr. Brandon and her family reside in Rhinebeck, New York.
In addition to practicing Optometry and taking care of her 3 children Linda enjoys running, biking, hiking and travel.
Dr. Brandon brings commitment, dedication and a personal touch to all her patients.
Deborah L. Pegg, ABOC
Licensed Optician
Deborah brings to Millbrook Family Eyecare 23 years of experience and knowledge in the cutting edge of lens and frame technology. She manages our full service lab, optical boutique and specializes in customization and personalization of our extensive eyewear collections.
Deborah’s ongoing continuing education includes seminar attendance every year at N.Y.C. Vision Expo and West Point Education Seminar in addition to the courses at New York State Society of Opticians
Deborah is:

- Licensed by the New York State

- Member of the Opticians Association of America.
- Member of the National Academy of Opticianry.
- Member of the N.Y.S. Society of Opticians, Inc.
- Member of the Salt Point Central Baptist Church Usher ministry and vice chair on the board of trustees.
Deborah is active in her church and loves gardening. She resides in Poughkeepsie with her husband Mark. They have two sons, Aaron and Mark. Deborah’s two grandchildren Xayvion and Ava bring much joy to her life.

Debbie Wheeler
Contact Lens Technician and Office Assistant
Debbie’s optical experience spans over 20 years. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of our optometric practice. She resides in Dover Plains and has two sons, Justin and Matthew and two step children, Lisa and Tom. Her grandchildren Patrick, Kyrstin and Ethan are the loves of her life. Debbie is vice-president of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Millbrook Fire Department. She is an avid NASCAR fan.
Maria Maranzano
Front Office Assistant and Reception
Maria takes pride in scheduling patients, greeting and organizing the daily procedural tasks of the office. She resides in Poughkeepsie with her husband Anthony and daughters Teresa and Christina. Maria and her husband enjoy riding their 1963 Harley and attending antique and motorcycle shows.
Anne Van Vlack
Front Office Assistant
Anne has been a dedicated supportive staff member for over 17 years. She lives in Millbrook and is an active member of her church and community. She has a son, David and a daughter Joanne. Anne is the proud grandmother of Rachel, Marco, Francesca, Sophia, David, Jamie and Marlowe. She has retired several times, but to our delight, she keeps coming back.
